English: Photograph appears with the article, "Richard Arlen's Ex-Wife Asks Alimony Increase," Los Angeles Times, 25 Sep 1935: Richard Arlen's ex-wife since 1923 Ruth Austin Mattimore has taken the actor to court in order to appeal for more alimony so she can pay for her daughter's tuition at a private school in Pebble Beach, but Arlen's lawyer Jerome J. Mayo denied the alimony needed to be increased from $30 to $60 a week.
