English: Two contrasting visions of the Russian Civil War by White (Pro imperial) and Red (Bolshevik) forces. To the left the poster titled Victim of the International depicts revolutionaries sacrificing the soul of Russia to a statue of Karl Marx with biblical themes. To the Right the poster titled 'Comrade Lenin cleans the world of filth' depicts Vladimir Lenin sweeping away western capitalists and monarchs. Both posters are similar in attempting relate Russia's Civil War. The Whites depicted the revolution as an assault of Russia by foreign ideas and the Reds justified their revolution as a reaction against foreign exploration. |
