Summary

Description This crossing at the Tye River appears intact, though tree branches and other debris are still caught on the bridge. The metal trestles scattered along the river may be from a railroad crossing upriver from this location. According to the negative sleeve, the Tye River Post Office was located here in Nelson County. No. 69-2256, Virginia Governor's Negative Collection, Library of Virginia.
