Description
English: HMS Argyll (not pictured) conducting a PASSEX with the Japanese Maritime Self-Defence Force's (JMSDF) JS Kaga and Inazuma during her passage to Singapore.

On Wednesday 26th September 2018, HMS Argyll met with Japanese Ships JS kaga and Inazuma. During the 3-hour PASSEX, the Japanese' Black Hawk helicopters deployed in order to capture imagery of all 3 ships sailing in unison.

A passing exercise (a PASSEX in Navy terminology) is an exercise between two navies to ensure that they are able to communicate and cooperate in times of war or humanitarian relief.
