English: Royal Air Force- France, 1939-1940.
Pilots of No. 607 Squadron RAF relax outside their crew room at Vitry-en-Artois. Those identified include Pilot Officer P L Parrott (first left), Flying Officer W F Blackadder (second right) and Flying Officer W E Gore (first right). Blackadder and the officer with whom he is exchanging a 'thumbs up' are still dressed in their pre-war Royal Auxiliary Air Force blue overalls with the Squadron badge emblazoned on the front left pockets.
