Suakin was now in sight, and the excitement wasgreat on board, as we did not know what receptionwe should meet with. For all we knew, the enemymight be in possession. Before theanchor was lowered a crowd of natives, with longcurious wooden spikes sticking in their curly heads,scrambled on deck; and as soon as we were broughtto.
