Locality: Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Municipio de Mapimí, Durango, Mexico (Locality at mindat.org)
Size: 5.25 x 3 x 2.5 cm.
An aesthetic, alive-looking piece with intense teal-blue botryroids of rosasite, to 2.25 cm across, emplaced on limonite. Around the periphery of the specimen the spheres exhibit a lighter blue color, thus giving the piece a two-tone appearance. These few specimens of intense color are surprising, and rare in this quality. From a new pocket found in November 2009. Photo by Joe Budd.
