DescriptionRodborough Common, near Stroud - geograph.org.uk - 801852.jpg
English: Rodborough Common, near Stroud This image shows another of the depressions or pits in the surface of the common. They are not marked on the maps so there is no obvious clue to their origins. Whatever they may be this one is possibly being used for some bizarre Cotswold ritual involving the placing of small stones to form letters and numbers. Some form of religion that communicates in textspeak? In the centre of the image is a pictogram that may well be some form of fertility symbol.
