Description
English: In 1892, the Rock Creek Railway opened its extension from its southern terminus at 18th and U Streets NW in Washington, D.C.'s Dupont Circle neighborhood to the nascent streetcar suburb of Chevy Chase, Maryland. This photo appeared in the January 14, 1893, issue of The Electrical World magazine.
