At the time of upload the location of the photograph is on an open adopted public road, Belmont Road, Rivington road number (USRN) 7400767 looking toward a bridleway 9-20 81 providing public access by way of a gate, the local authority with control is Lancashire County Council. The gate and fences enclosing the area have been a recent addition. Bolton Council holds records showing this location to be part of Lever Park and protected by the Liverpool Corporation Act 1902, the land is owned by Chorley Council and no protections for public access are recorded at Land Registry. The area in the photograph is recorded as open access land.
