Description
English: Ribauldequin (or organ gun), 16th century, Germany. This mobile weapon consisting of 12 barrels of 66.5 cm long, can shoot lead balls of 16 to 18 mm. The frame was reconstructed from a drawing by Leonardo da Vinci. Photo taken in the Château de Castelnaud, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, Dordogne, Aquitaine, France.
Français : Ribaudequin (ou Orgue) allemand du XVIème siècle. Arme mobile constituée de 12 canons de 66,5 cm de long, pouvant tirer des balles de plomb de 16 à 18 mm. L'affût a été reconstitué d'après un dessin de Léonard de Vinci. Photo prise dans le donjon du Château de Castelnaud, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, Dordogne, Aquitaine, France.
