Description

Reverend Joseph Miller BD, who was vicar of the church of St Mark, Old Leeds Road, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England, from 1929 to 1931. He was formerly a Congregationalist minister who converted to Anglicanism shortly before taking up the living at St Mark's.

[Note re picture quality: From the technical point of view, this is an inadequate microfilm picture which needs to be replaced, when possible, with a direct photograph of the original newspaper. However it so happens that on this occasion, the microfilm has produced a striking image of this man: a hero who assisted refugees in Germany in World War I, and who was apparently a fine preacher. So if you upload a technically better version of this image, please upload it to a separate file, and pleas link the new file in the "other versions" section below. Thank you.
