DescriptionRedhill SR station geograph-2641294-by-Ben-Brooksbank.jpg
English: Two 'foreign' locomotives at Redhill SR.
View northward from the Down platform: ex-SE&CR/LB&SCR junction on the London - Brighton main line. Running coupled on the Up Through line are LMS-type Fairburn 4MT class 2-6-4T No. 42081 (built 1/51 withdrawn 5/67 and one of many working branch services on the SR Central Section) with ex-GW Churchward 43XX 2-6-0 No. 6307 (built 1/21 withdrawn 7/60); the GW 2-6-0 will have worked a train from Reading - a common occurrence
This view is looking south; the engines are waiting to proceed to the shed and is from the up platform (the eastern side of the island).
