Description Hmmm. What have we here? This large white egret had us stumped for a bit, until a look at the books clearly showed that it was an adult white morph of the Reddish Egret (Egretta rufescens). Note the bicolored bill, reddish at the base and dark at the tip, along with shaggy neck plumes.
