Summary

Description
English: Quote from the plenary meeting of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on 14 October 1942 debating the question whether to publicly denounce the violence of Nazi Germany against civilians, especially Jews. While members like Marguerite Frick-Cramer, who is cited here, argued in favour of a strong statement, the top-leadership of the ICRC under pressure from Swiss President Philipp Etter decided against it. Display at the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum in Geneva.
