English: A vintage Rap Stick from 1940s used for sharpening a leather cutter's knife. A right-handed operator would hold the rap stick in left hand, stroking the blade rapidly but gently on the abrasive often to maintain a sharp edge, in a similar fashion to a butcher's knife and shapening steel. The knife blade is a medical item but approximates the shape of a clicker's knife blade.
