English: Ramshehar fort, also spelt Ramshahr, near Nalagarh town in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh in Northwestern India. Said to be built in 16th century CE, the fort was partly destroyed in the 1905 Kangra earthquake, restored extensively in 2011, and turned into a heritage hotel/resort. The fort is located at an elevation of 1,100 metres (3,600 feet) above msl on a hill in the Outer Himalayas, with the Punjab plain visible towards its south-southeast and the Lesser Himalayas visible towards to its north-northeast.
