Summary

Description
English: A Rajasthani Folk Singer with his Ravanhatta at the Akhyan festival in Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts (IGNCA), near India Gate New Delhi. Ravanhatta is mostly used by Bhopas, who are religious nomadic folk musicians. Ravanhatta is a primitive string fiddle with one metal and several other strings which may include horse hair and synthetic material. The bow has several bells attached to it and by giving a jerk to the bow, it also provides the rhythm for the lilting music.
