Summary

Description
English: Plaque found on the pillar that marks the south entrance to Preston Park. It appears as if an identical plaque once hung on the opposite side of the pillar. The arms were adopted by the County of Sussex. Inscription readsː "Radynden Gate the ancient manor of Radynden lay to the south of this gate. Above are the arms of Sir John de Radynden 1274 - 1350 since assum'd by the County of Sussex"
