English: Dayton, OH, McCook Field, 1921. Demonstration of a Radio Controlled Car built by Captain R. E. Vaugh of RCA. Eight feet long, cigar shaped, with three tires. The car was unmanned with Vaughn controlling it wirelessly via radio in a manned vehicle a short distance behind. The car wound its way through city streets, slowed for traffic and honked its horn.
