Summary

Description
English: The Canadian Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) has two main benefits (vs. a normally Taxed account):

a) The benefit from permanently tax-free profits earned by after-tax savings, as also realized by a TFSA. Everyone always gets this benefit.

b) A possible bonus / penalty from any difference in effective tax rates between contribution and withdrawal (multiplied by the $draw).

The RRSP's benefit comes mainly from the same benefit as a TFSA (permanently tax free profits on after-tax savings), plus a bonus/penalty from changing tax rates.
