Description The Moth floatplane taken to Antarctica on board Discovery II to assist in the search for missing American aviator, Lincoln Ellsworth, in December 1935, shown with a mantle of snow after a storm. A Wapiti floatplane was also carried on the ship's deck (visible in background) but was not used.
