Description

Minnesota turned 150 on Sunday. We became the 32nd state on May 11, 1858. View large.

This is a picture of the Quadriga, "The Progress of the State," on the front of the Minnesota State Capitol which is a man in a chariot, two women and four horses representing the elements: earth, fire, water and air. The women represent industry and agriculture, and the man represents prosperity.
