English: Clocks near the entrance to the prayer hall of the Qingjing Mosque, a.k.a. Ashab Mosque, the main mosque of Quanzhou. The leftmost clock shows, apparently, the time for the Friday public prayer; the five clock faces to the right show (or are supposed to show) the recommended times for the five daily prayers (from left to right, 晨礼、晌礼、晡礼、昏礼、宵礼, i.e. fajr through isha'a). The big clock (upper left) shows the current time (Beijing Time). |
