Summary

Description
English: This image shows a finger mesa underlain by Puye Formation, which here is a cliff-forming unit over the slope-forming Chamita Formation. This area is part of the Puye Escarpment, New Mexico, USA. The Puye Formation is a fanglomerate eroded off Tschicoma Formation volcanic vents to the west between 5 and 3 million years ago.
