English: Washington Park & Zoo Railway locomotive No. 1, the Oregon, hauls a zoo-bound train past siding #3 in Washington Park in 1980. The locomotive and cars were still lettered as "Portland Zoo Railway" at the time, but the line had been renamed as the WP&Z Railway in 1978. The railroad has a track gauge of 30 inches and approximately 5/8-scale rolling stock.
The locomotive is an actual steam engine that is a scaled-down version of the Virginia & Truckee Railroad #11, the "Reno."
