English: This is an image of 2[nm] Pt particles on single-strand DNA threads which in turn have been wrapped around carbon nanotubes between 1 and 3 graphene atomic layers thick[1]. Models of lattice fringe visibility are supported by the abundant visibility of ≈2Å (111) lattice fringes in the tiny Pt crystals. Note that this image has been cropped and lossy-JPEG compressed to minimize space on the wiki, as the original 16-bit digitized image is a 0.154 gigabyte file.
