Summary

Description
English: Purple-green veins are pseudotachylyte, a melt in formed by seismic frictional heating in tectonic faults. Ladder veins are composed of tensile (opening mode) pseudotachylyte injections which connect between two sub-parallel fault veins (the source of the melt).
