Well, tonight was my first venture for a while into what is likely to be my new local - the Showcase on the East Lancs Road. Distance wise it's a bit further away - not really viable to walk it - and I'll plan more carefully as I get cheaper tickets on Mondays and Tuesdays. Still, a good few positives. The screens are bigger, the pictures a little brighter and the seats are...interesting. They bounce like an old bus in a way that makes you think they're comfortable for the first ten minutes, but I wouldn't want to do any lengthy Tarantino in them! Still, first film down. For the curious it was Star Trek and it was a good fun romp. :) |
