Français : La main droite levée, le roi de France prête serment devant des dignitaires le 25 février 1599, date de l'enregistrement de l'édit de Nantes par le parlement de Paris. Dans cette eau-forte hollandaise tardive et fantaisiste, gravée par Jan Luyken pour l'ouvrage d'Élie Benoist, Histoire de l'Edit de Nantes, ... jusques à l'Edit de Révocation (1693), Henri IV (absent le jour précité) est figuré improprement en souverain constitutionnel.
