DescriptionPrinted velvet scarves, c1997, by British textile designer Neisha Crosland.jpg
English: Velvet scarves were a key fashion trend in the 1990s in the UK, with designers such as Georgina von Etzdorf and Neisha Crosland experimenting with print and other techniques on velvet. These examples, from c1997 were bought from a sample sale in Soho, London, UK. Velvet scarves were worn as part of day as well as evening wear and designer versions in expensive silk velvet were quickly replicated using cheaper materials by many high street stores.
