The shown graph is the results of an investigation performed by the Japanese government in 2000. Refer to [1] for the detailed contents of investigation.
The survey was conducted from August to October 2000 in 60 countries around the world, not ROK, DPRK, or Japan. It demonstrates the naming practices of mostly consumer level maps. 392 Maps were surveyed in total.
