DescriptionPrepared pinol in two large mugs ready to drink.jpg
English: Two large mugs filled with a prepared mixture of pinol (toasted barley flour mixed with ground unrefined sugar and spices) and hot milk, simmered together until mostly homogenized. Some uncombined powder can be seen floating on the surface of the milk.
Pinol, an Ecuadorian food, is similar to, but not to be confused with, the Central American beverage called pinole or pinolillo, and made with corn flour rather than barley flour.
