| Description |
English: The French army is strung out in a 80 mile long march. Davout's corps is functioning as the French rear guard. Platov's cossacks are harassing Davout from the east. Kutuzov commands the main Russian army, which is marching on a road located south of the French. Miloradovich, who commands the Russian advance guard, is preparing to isolate and encircle Davout's corps at Vyazma. |
