Summary

Description This doesn't look like one of the holiest spots in Islam, but it is. This niche indicating the qiblah (the direction of Mecca) is in a small cavern underneath the rock from which the Prophet Muhammad is believed to have ascended to heaven, which is inside the Dome of the Rock mosque.
