Description Postcard photo of the Norfolk & Western train the Powhatan Arrow. The train traveled between Norfolk, Virginia and Cincinnati, Ohio.
Date Not mailed. This is an oversize card, so it would need to have been sent as first class mail. First class postage was 3 cents until 1958 en:History of United States postage rates. This is also a streamlined steam locomotive and not a diesel. en:N&W J class (1941) This class of locomotive was built from 1941 to 1950. Likely circa 1940s to early 1950s. The railroad discontinued en:Powhatan Arrow service in 1968.
