Title
Post Medieval lace tag
Description
English: A copper alloy lace tag of probably Post Medieval date. It is a cone of sheet copper alloy, 6.2mm in diameter at the open end and tapering to a rounded blunt point. The terminal end is decorated with a globular collar decorated with four circumferential grooves. There are two opposing rivet holes near the open end, and the cone has cracks running across the holes. Instead of a lace tag, this object could also be part of a small brush or the terminal of a slender wooden object such as a pen. Compare WILT-71AAE6 and SWYOR-B1FFB4.
