oval, 1½ in. (38 mm.) high, gilt-metal frame with paste surround, the reverse with glazed aperture

Sir John Palmer, 5th Bt., (1735-1817) M.P. for co. Leicester 1765-1780 of Carlton, Northamptonshire, married Charlotte (d. 1783), daughter of Sir Henry Gough, 1st Bt. of Edgbaston of Warwicks in 1768 and was succeeded by his grandson.
