English: Portrait of Madame Campan (1752-1822), seated full-length, in a black dress, with Pholoé, a pupil in oriental costume, by a table with a bust, a landscape beyond, oil on canvas, 74 x 51 in. (188 x 129.5 cm.) including an addition of 33/8 in. (8.5 cm.) along the upper edge
Français : Henriette Campan, en fondatrice de la Maison d'éducation d'Ecouen, avec l'une de ses préférées de la troisième génération d'élèves, la mystérieuse petite Pholoé, née en Crimée, fille adoptive du prince de Nassau-Siegen, ici habillée à la Turque. Il existerait une version de ce portrait dans les les collections de l'école de la Légion d'Honneur à Saint-Denis.
