Description
English: View of "Poplar Grove," circa 1890, built by Col. Abram (sometimes spelled Abraham) Penn, following the American Revolution. Col. Penn was an early pioneer of the region, one of the founders of Patrick County, Virginia, and a hero of the Revolution. His home Poplar Grove is no longer still standing, but Penn's grave marker still exists in a family cemetery there. Image courtesy of freestateofpatrick.com.
