| Description |
English: The plaza of weapons of Cajamarca is one of the most beautiful, extensive and important of Peru. It was the scene of the fall of the Inca Empire, since in this place happened one of the events that marked the History of Peru: the Inca Atahualpa was executed by the Spaniards; today in the same place stands a large stone pool carved from the eighteenth century. It is located in the Historic Center of Cajamarca.
Around it are the cathedral, the church of San Francisco, the Municipality and beautiful houses of colonial constructions that make it a city with great Spanish influence and one of the most important of the country.
