"Chester: John John arrived aboard the 'Orient' in 1848. He married Mary Ann Hodges, nee Withnell. John was a butcher in Fremantle and ran a cattle yard at Chester Park (Hilton Park) in 1860. John purchased the 'Rockingham Arms' in 1876 renaming it 'Chesterfield Inn'. He farmed land adjacent to the Inn." |
