DescriptionPioneer Memorial Park Plaque - Botany Cemetery.jpg
English: The dedication plaque for the 1976 destruction of Bunnerong Cemetery which had been purpose-built to house the remains of early settlers of Australia when the Devonshire Street Cemetery (known at the time as Sand Hills) was resumed for the construction of Central Railway Station, Sydney, Australia. Approximately 700 of 2500 gravestones were retained, but they were separated from their graves and placed into easy-to-maintain concrete strips. The other monuments were destroyed by the cemetery trust.
