English: Approximate location and extent in Missouri of the Pine Ford Lake that was proposed as part of the defunct Meramec Basin Project of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This lake was deauthorized and never built. This depiction is based on an estimated pool elevation of 171 meters above mean sea level with a dam at 38.24336 N 90.73824 W. That location and elevation are estimates based on a very rough map of the larger project published by the Corps of Engineers and 1-arcsecond elevation data from the National Elevation Dataset. Roads are shown in their current (2006) alignments without intent to suggest whether any bridges over the lake were intended.
