from Palmerston to Pine Creek Railway
marked "1885 KRUPP P & PC R"
As it was a long lead time item, 10,000 (tons?) of this rail was ordered by South
Australian Railways in 188_ for supply to the railway contractor. The rails
were made by Krupp at Essen in Germany.
This section was found one mile south of Adelaide River railway station in October 2001.
