English: Splendid Bindweed עברית: חבלבל השיח, Original Image Name:חבלבל השיח, Notes:חבלבל השיח הוא עשב רב-שנתי אשר מגיע לגובה עד 60 ס"מ. צורתו כדורית, ענפיו דקים וסבוכים בעלי אופי נוקשה. על הענפים שערות קצרות ומהודקות המשוות לשיח צבע מאפיר. בכל שנה בקיץ מתייבשים הענפים. הם מתחדשים בחורף לאחר רדת הגשמים. העלים פשוטים מאורכים מסורגים על הגבעול. עם בוא החמסינים נושרים רוב העלים והצמח נותר עם מעטים מהם. את תפקיד ההטמעה יבצעו הענפים.
בעונת הקיץ, הצמח פורח בעשרות פרחים ורודים ובולטים. פקעי הפריחה מאופיינים בפיתול עלי הכותרת אחד בשני ומזכירים גדילי חבל מפותל. הפרח דו-מיני, מלווה בשתי חפי, Location:מודיעין |
