Summary

Description
English: Piercebridge Roman fort, Piercebridge, County Durham, England. Roman bath house wall, once incorporated into 13th century St Mary's chapel, now a scheduled ancient monument. There is a walk-through arch, but the probable clue to Roman origin is the bricked-up barrel-vault arch to the right of the opening in the wall. This structure is on private property, but visible over a stone wall in the corner of the fort site.
