Summary

Description Cover of Picturesque Seattle and Puget Sound (Seattle Chamber of Commerce, c. 1915). Indian sidewalk vendors selling baskets on Second Avenue at the corner of Madison Street, Seattle, Washington, 1912. Clearly, this picture has been hand-tinted. It is likely that it is actually a good photo-collage, rather than a single photograph. An image of these same three people appeared in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer in 1912. They are identically dressed and the child is clearly the same age in both images. This image of the vendors appears to be a mirroring of part of that photo, with the baskets moved.

Photographed digitally from a copy in the Seattle Room at the downtown Seattle Public Library, then cleaned with GIMP. They also show up in File:Indian sidewalk vendors on Seattle's Second Avenue 1915.jpg, possibly a photo collage]].
