Foliage of cultivated container plant which came into growth unexpectedly / uncharacteristically in Autumn (species normally produces foliage and flowers in Spring, before becoming dormant for the rest of the year (except sometimes for a few small, non-flowering shoots in Summer)). Although of same size as normal Spring flowering stems, these Autumn flowering stems aborted their flower buds when buds still very small, although foliage persisted and remained healthy for a month or two. Specimen probably exhibiting anomalous growth in response to Summer watering to keep alive a self-seeded specimen of Datura stramonium which had appeared in same pot...either that or in response to being brought into growth early in a domestic conservatory for purposes of observation and photography of anatomical detail.
