English: Benign phyllodes tumour of the breast. Micrograph.
Detailed description: phyllodes tumours have a myxoid cellular stroma separated by long clefts of (compressed) epithelial tissue. The long clefts are the key feature that differentiates these tumours from the more common fibroadenoma of the breast. With some imagination they may vaguely resemble leaves (phyllodes = leaf). Compression of the epithelial component is characteristic. Benign and malignant types exist. A small amount of normal breast stroma (which is more eosinophilic than the tumour) is in the upper right corner of the image. H&E stain. Low power magnification.
